SABB Tenpin Wizards Team of the Week in Almarai League

SABB Tenpin Wizards mentored by Allan Ofreneo grabbed the Team of the Week award, while Noel Marquez hits deadly form to snatch the Bowler of the Week accolade during the 16th session in the FBGR –Almarai Saturday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Centre (UBC) here.
In winning their breakthrough team award SABB Tenpin Wizards drew inspired performances from Ric Singson, who carded 886 points on lines of 194, 179, 233 & 184, Victor Edan 869, Arnold Jesena 868 and Marvin Arocena 784.
Mohammad Talal added 564 as Tenpin Wizards walloped defending champion Eraserheads of Armin Isles 23-7.
Fernie Ballano led the losing team with 825 while Andro Tismo had 789, Joe Garrido 428, Isles 412, Edwin Atienza 377, Jojo Gabriel 353, Ronald Bautista 344 and Ernee Noto 331.
Marquez of RG512 for Clothes rolled the high series of 945 (235, 269, 191, 230) but failed to stop the defeat of his team at the hands of Ric Urrutia Jr.’s Proshop Strikers 22-14.
Ruel Toledo was the Proshop topscorer on 889 followed by Urrutia 880, Ed Cruz 869, Ruby Urrutia 814 and Vic Barrazona 756. Aside from Marquez, RG515 had Ahmad Al-Qarquosh on 864 Yasser Mohamed 864, Rasheed Rasheidan 590, Rocky Manipon 365, Mike Ecalnir 349 and Thong Asuncion 347 points.
In another match, Almarai Co. beat Alsalam Knights 20-10. Joel Batolina lead Almarai scoring 866 and was supported by Doy Del Moral 844 and Jun Daniel 836, while Alex Armada carded 594 in three games. Top scorer for Alsalam Knights was Rollie Cleofe 833 with Alfred Valencia on 804, Mario Miranda 799, Bandar Al-Marshad 755 and David Magsalin 790 points.
The previous week honoree, Sebo Boys of Koko Torres, blasted Kapit-Bisig piloted by Clem Ojeda 21-9. Captain Torres led by example to score 892. Angel Caasi tossed in 888, Glenn Dela Cruz 873, Ronald Cruz 853 and Sam Alinsod 562 for Sebo. James Boyd 883, Omar Valdez 862, Shawn Ricketts 828 and Jojie Manalansan 783 were the scorers at Kapit-Bisig.
In other matches, Alinma Bank mentored by Abdulrahman Ahmed whipped Expendibles of Hani al-Nasleh 19-12, Nadec of Lope Ramirez edged Exodus of Benny Mondoy 16-12 in 2-2 amtch and Carry Over of Lulu Quejada won by default over Alfanar Precast 18-0.
